Silver Dolphin Sconce

From the Remains Archive. Available by private inquiry. A double-light sconce in its original silverplated finish, with a riot of decoration from scaly water serpent arms to a shell and foliate detailed backplate to Jacobean bas-relief strapwork on the waxpans and candlecups. Though this is one of my favorite fixtures in the archive, I can imagine a room-full of such objects, the carved paneling, plaster ceiling, tufted upholstury, and more being a little overwhelming. I love it by itself. Historical works from the Archive are reproduced selectively through the Remains workshop, with pricing and lead times determined according to the scope and complexity of the original work.
