Scar of the Sea "Bassi Vineyard" Pinot Noir

Mikey Giugni's elegant Pinot from his home vineyard, the biodynamically-farmed Bassi Ranch, is a triumph of balance and complexity. An aromatically beautiful wine, with a good dose of whole-cluster fermentation creating spicy florals in the nose. While ripe core of dark red berry fruit reveals that this is clearly Californian, this is also emblematic of the unique terroir of the SLO Coast.
