Phytomed Organic Anise Essential Oil – 10 ml Concentrated organic anise essential oil from Pimpinella anisum, with a sweet, warm aroma. 10 ml bottle for fragrance applications only according to the original manufacturer directions. The available Phytomed safety data sheet (SDS), article 01.003, version D, 17 May 2018, lists among other hazards H341: Suspected of causing genetic defects and H351: Suspected of causing cancer. A current SDS and confirmation for the actual stock batch are still required before using the product. Botanical source and composition The 2018 SDS identifies the substance as Pimpinella Anisum Seed Oil (CAS 8007-70-3). Naming a natural essential oil as a substance does not provide a complete chemical breakdown or allergen profile of the present batch. The old SDS does not list individual allergenic substances in its section 2.3, but does classify the oil as a potential skin sensitiser. Use and restrictions Use only with an appropriate fragrance device and follow its instructions and those of the original bottle. Never ingest, apply undiluted to skin or use as a food flavouring. This is not ready-to-use massage oil or a cosmetic skincare product. Avoid use around babies and young children and during pregnancy. First aid and safe storage Keep away from children, avoid skin and eye contact, and have the container or label available if medical advice is needed. For eye contact rinse cautiously with water for several minutes and remove contact lenses where possible. Dispose of product and container according to applicable rules.
