What is the RDL RU-ADA4D?The RDL RU-ADA4D is a stereo audio distribution amplifier that feeds four stereo outputs, or eight mono outputs when switched to mono mode. Front-panel input and output trimmers plus a dual-LED VU meter for each input make level setting straightforward. Balanced or unbalanced connections on detachable terminal blocks and very low distortion suit demanding professional installations.How does it work?The RU-ADA4D has two line-level inputs that accept balanced or unbalanced signals on rear-panel detachable terminal blocks. Front-panel INPUT GAIN trimmers bring signals between -14 dBV unbalanced and +9 dBu balanced to the proper operating level, shown on dual-LED VU meters. Maximum input level is +25 dBu, which leaves ample headroom at normal operating levels. A rear-panel switch selects stereo or mono; in mono, input A drives all 8 outputs, so only one input needs wiring. Each of the eight outputs has its own front-panel level trimmer and delivers +4 dBu balanced at 150 Ω or -10 dBV unbalanced. THD+N is below 0.0025%, noise is below -92 dB, and CMRR is above 90 dB at 100 Hz. The module runs on 24 Vdc; RDL recommends the PS-24AS (USA) or PS-24AX (international) supply.
