Gretsch G6122-1962 Country Classic II 2003 Satin Blue Refinish Japan MIJ w/ OHSC

This made in Japan Gretsch G6122-1962 Country Classic II plays and sounds great! As Gretsch never offered matte blue finish for this model, a previous owner commissioned this factory-brown example to be professionally refinished. The looks are striking, and it sounds fantastic! The guitar is comprised of a maple with an ebony fretboard and the Dual Filter'Tron humbuckers are a really nice pairing with the hollow-body construction. This guitar shows normal cosmetic wear from over the years that includes light surface scratches and scuffs throughout the body and pickguard from normal play. The blue refinish has started to age very nicely from over time and the gold hardware also shows normal patina that is consistent with aging. The frets are in great shape with plenty of life and the electronics work as they should. Apart from the finish, this guitar is original.
