Developed together with a tannery in Himeji, Hyogo, this leather is crafted using a combination tanning process that blends vegetable tannins with chrome tanning. Richly infused with oils, the fibers are softened from within, resulting in a refined grain and a supple, elegant feel. A work bag should be durable—but not at the expense of comfort. APERTO retains its strength even when cut thin, allowing the bag itself to remain remarkably lightweight. APERTO REN’s original leather, “Aperto,” is a combination-tanned cowhide crafted by a tannery in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Even when processed thin, it retains its strength, allowing for a lightweight and flexible finish. With use, the leather gradually becomes softer and develops a richer luster and character over time.
