Needleminder--Phyllida

The Phyllida needleminder is part of Avlea's collection of unabashedly beautiful needleminders inspired by Byzantine decorative motifs. Four heart-shaped leaves meet in the center to form a tiny quatrefoil, ringed with gold pearls and framed by leafy sprigs that reach toward each corner of the scalloped square. Phyllida means "greenery" in Greek, and the pearled borders recall Byzantine mosaics and jeweled metalwork, set in gold against a soft sage green. A needleminder does more than hold your needle when you set your work down. The strong neodymium magnet secures your fabric as you stitch and keeps your pattern attached to your frame — a small tool that earns its place on every project.
