A limited pairing of specialty coffee and poetry, created in collaboration with poet Sanna Wani to celebrate her new collection, Lantern, published by House of Anansi Press. About the coffee Lantern was grown by Juan Adolfo Bautista, a second-generation coffee producer at Finca San Juan in Musula, Marcala, Honduras. Grown at approximately 1,500 metres and dried slowly on shaded solar beds and patios, this small natural-process microlot is bright, fruity, and sweet. Tasting notes: Berry, peach and red fruits Origin: Marcala, La Paz, Honduras Producer: Juan Adolfo Bautista Farm: Finca San Juan Variety: Catuai Process: Natural Elevation: 1,500 metres Roast level: Medium About the book In Lantern, Sanna Wani reflects on love, home, belonging, and the beauty of ordinary life. Her poems invite us to slow down and pay closer attention—much like a thoughtfully brewed cup of coffee. Sanna Wani is a Kashmiri award-winning poet, editor, and translator based in Toronto. She is the author of My Grief, the Sun (House of Anansi Press, 2022) and Lantern (House of Anansi Press, 2026). Her writing has been widely published, including in TIME and Best Canadian Poetry. She is the creator and host of the podcast, Poet Talk; poetry editor at The Ex-Puritan; and Publicity Manager at Between the Lines. Brew a cup, read a poem, and give yourself a little time with both.
