Coffee Fact Sheet Origin: Zombie Desert, Haiti Region: Caribbean Varietal: Catimore, Typica Process: Washed Elevation: 1300 m above sea level This coffee was named after the Haitian town Savane Zombie. Grown at a slightly higher elevation, and containing several more varietals, this Haitian coffee is the more complex outlier in the midst of smooth, low acid Caribbean profiles. Haiti Zombie straddles the line of being approachable and familiar while still being exciting and unique! About the Producer: This cooperative, being smaller is size, is able to produce 600 bags of coffee and pay growers significant prices for their coffee cherries. The cooperative is paid roughly 300% higher wages than the Fair Trade minimum, not out of charity, but for having an exceptional product.
