Honda WSP33 1/3 HP 115V 40 GPM Submersible Pump
Honda WSP33 1/3 HP Submersible Utility Pump, 40 GPM The WSP33 is Honda’s compact electric submersible pump for clean water: a 1/3 hp, 115 volt unit with a lightweight stainless steel casing that plugs into a standard outlet. It moves up to 40 gallons per minute through a 1.25 inch top discharge and weighs only 11 lb, which makes it easy to drop into a window well, a flooded floor drain, a pool cover or a rain barrel. Automatic and Continuous An automatic float switch starts and stops the pump as the water rises and falls, and Honda uses a mechanical switch rather than mercury. The pump is rated for continuous duty, and a built-in thermal switch resets automatically after the motor cools if it ever overheats. It runs fully or partially submerged. Construction The stainless steel casing will not rust. Inside, a thermoplastic Noryl impeller handles solids up to 0.375 inch, with a carbon and ceramic lower mechanical seal and a single-lip rubber upper seal. A 20 foot heavy-duty cord comes standard. WSP33 Specifications Motor 1/3 hp, 115 V; starting 10 A, running 4 A Capacity 40 gal/min; maximum head 23 ft; 10 psi Discharge: top, 1.25 in FNPT Solids handling 0.375 in Diameter 6.4 in, height 10.3 in; dry weight 11 lb Warranty: 1 year residential, 1 year commercial Use a GFCI Outlet Honda recommends plugging the WSP33 into a GFCI-protected outlet, and it is good practice for any pump sitting in water. Avoid extension cords where possible; if one is needed, choose a heavy-gauge outdoor cord. Larger Submersibles The WSP53 and WSP73 add stainless impellers and double mechanical seals for heavier use, and the WSP50 and WSP100 handle solids up to 2 inches.
