Vintage Black Haori - Igeta Three Family Crests -
The Igeta pattern is a traditional Japanese geometric design inspired by the wooden frame surrounding the top of a well, shaped like the Japanese character 井. It symbolises family safety, financial prosperity, and success in business. The Igeta pattern is woven into the fabric as a subtle, textured design. Japanese kimono can have one, three, or five family crests. The more crests a kimono has, the more formal it is considered. This haori features three family crests, making it a very rare piece. The fabric is incredibly soft, with a smooth, silky texture and a beautiful sheen. The lining is pistachio green, close to the traditional Japanese colour known as Uguisu-iro. It features beautiful flowers and birds that symbolise good fortune.
