Toile de Jouy, the pastoral engravings first printed near Versailles in the 18th century, has become a signature of the House under Maria Grazia Chiuri, and this Soleil edition reimagines it as a celestial fantasy: radiant sun faces crowned in holly, laurel, and wildflowers, garlanded figures, and delicate botanicals, all drawn in fine engraved lines of navy on ivory. Printed on both sides of pure silk twill in Italy and finished with hand-rolled edges, the design is framed by a speckled jacquard-effect border and a bold navy band carrying the Christian Dior signature, giving it the balance and presence of a classic engraving.
