Harbour Rescue Pier - Original Painting 'Harbour Rescue Pier' from the "Plein Air Port Collection' is a one-of-a-kind artwork. This view is in a busy place here in port, which makes it a bit tougher to paint there without distraction. I actually started this piece and then had to go back to finish for this reason. One thing I thought was cool how the wake from the water each time a boat went by created such interesting reflection with swirls in the water. This is the Rescue Station in the village and then farther out the pier. The place I was standing was beside the public boat launch. I actually had to squeeze the composition since the pier was farther to the left that I show, but since all I had to do was shorten the walkway out it was a pretty easy fix, and makes the composition much stronger on compact. I also added a red tree on the right just to give some more colour.
