Patterned Cutting Board Class — September 23 & 30, 6:30–9:30 PM

Create a beautiful patterned hardwood cutting board in this two-part woodworking class led by Timothy Weldy! Using contrasting hardwoods, you’ll learn how to carefully arrange and glue pieces together to create a striking geometric pattern. During the second session, you’ll sand, route, and apply a food-safe finish to complete your board. Session One: Assembly and Glue-Up Arrange the hardwood pieces to create your pattern Learn proper glue-up and clamping techniques Keep the pieces aligned for a clean, consistent design Prepare the board for final shaping and finishing Session Two: Shaping and Finishing Flatten and sand the cutting board Use a router to shape the edges and add the finishing details Prepare the surface for use Apply a durable, food-safe finish By the end of the second session, you’ll take home a completed patterned cutting board that is ready to use or give as a handmade gift! What to Bring Closed-toed shoes are required. Please avoid loose clothing and jewelry. All other materials, tools, and safety equipment are provided.
