Flameroot

The Flameroot translates one of the defining botanical elements from Penn Cole’s Kindred’s Curse Saga into a sculptural bag charm. Created as part of the officially licensed MELINA BUCHER × Penn Cole collaboration, it represents the flower whose powder sets the story in motion. The flower is constructed from two contrasting vegan materials. Deep red petals in vegan leather frame a vivid orange centre and soft elements crafted from INNOVERA™ vegan suede. Layered and shaped by hand, the individual components give the flower its dimensional form. The contrast between smooth vegan leather and the suede-like surface of INNOVERA™ emphasises the different structures within the design. Finished with a metal clasp, the Flameroot can be attached to a handbag, key ring or strap. A pivotal object from the story becomes a small, tactile piece designed to travel beyond the page. Handmade in our German atelier, the Flameroot combines officially licensed storytelling, material contrast and traditional bag-making craftsmanship.
