Description MURO 128® 5% Ointment (Sodium Chloride Hypertonicity Ophthalmic Ointment, 5%) provides effective nighttime temporary relief for corneal edema. This product contains no mercurial compounds such as thimerosal. The ointment is available without prescription but should be used upon recommendation by an eye care professional. Key Features & Benefits Temporary relief of corneal edema Preservative free formulation Nighttime therapy Recommended Dosage: Apply a small amount of ointment inside the lower eyelid of the affected eye(s) as directed by your eye care professional, typically at bedtime. Size: 3.5 g sterile ophthalmic ointment How to use Wash hands thoroughly before application Pull down the lower eyelid and apply a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment inside the affected eye(s) Use as directed by your eye care professional, typically before bedtime Warnings Do not use this product except under the advice and supervision of a physician. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, foreign body sensation, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult your physician. Do not use if difficult to dispense or visible particles are seen in the product. To avoid contamination of the product, do not touch the tip of the container to any surface. Replace cap after using. This product may cause temporary burning and irritation on being instilled into the eye.
