Stuart Crystal Clasp
A high carat gold Stuart crystal clasp circa 1680-1720, the bevelled rock crystal has cut corners and a gold foil with a square of plaited hair and a gold wire cypher with the initials SW. The setting is a rub over with lovely gold engraving on the sides. There are three spaces either side for either three rows or perhaps six rows of pearls or other beads or it could be sewn on to a piece of black velvet to make a choker. Weight: 6.1 Grams The rock crystal face measures 1.6cm wide by 1.3cm high, the whole clasp is 2.25cm x 1.55cm
