If you want to learn kiteboarding, this is the perfect place to start. Our 1-hour Group Introduction Lesson is designed specifically for complete beginners who are curious about the sport and want a safe, fun, and structured first experience. You’ll learn alongside a small group of 2 to 4 students under the guidance of internationally qualified instructors, following Kiteboarding Australia standards to ensure the highest level of safety and teaching quality. We focus on giving you a solid foundation in a relaxed and supportive environment. This first session is all about understanding how the kite works, building confidence with kite control, and developing awareness of wind and safety systems before moving on to water-based lessons. During the lesson, you’ll work with a trainer kite on land, learning how to generate and control power through proper steering techniques. You’ll also be introduced to essential equipment, safety systems, and basic setup procedures so you understand how everything works from the very beginning. Lesson Overview This is your introduction to the sport. If you’re keen to try kiteboarding, this session is the ideal first step. We begin with a trainer kite on the beach, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of kite flying and how wind power is created and controlled. You’ll then be introduced to full-size kiteboarding equipment and guided through basic safety systems and handling techniques. The focus is on developing confidence, control, and a clear understanding of how to manage the kite safely in different conditions. All equipment is provided, and no previous experience is required.
