Roger Feraud Clé de Sol Coat Rack, France, 1950s
Roger Feraud's iconic "Clé de Sol" coat rack is one of the most recognisable pieces of post-war French design. Its playful composition of black lacquered steel rods and brightly coloured wooden spheres evokes musical notation, giving the piece its distinctive sculptural presence. Designed during the 1950s, the model combines functionality with the optimistic spirit of French Mid-Century Modern design. The looping upper hooks provide ample space for coats, hats and accessories, while the circular lower section can be used for umbrellas or walking sticks. This example remains in nice original condition with a beautiful vintage patina. The coloured wooden balls retain their vibrant appearance and the metal structure shows only light signs of age and use, adding character without detracting from the overall presentation. A highly decorative and increasingly sought-after piece that works equally well in a hallway, office, boutique or design-focused interior. Dimensions: H 178 × W 61 × D 61 cm Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-related wear, minor paint losses and patina consistent with decades of use. Contact me for shipping
