Whether you’re hoping for fresh eggs, a more connected backyard, or simply want to learn more before committing to a flock, this relaxed informational gathering is a welcoming place to start. Melissa Mott will walk participants through the practical realities of raising chickens in neighborhood environments, including how to keep chickens healthy, happy, and manageable in smaller backyard spaces. Melissa will also bring a few of her own backyard chickens so participants can meet them up close and learn more about handling, temperament, and care in a real-life setting.
