Alocasia Silver Dragon

Boasting some of the most striking foliage in the houseplant world, the Alocasia is an increasingly popular addition to indoor plant collections due to its unmatched visual and sculptural appeal. Alocasias need bright, indirect light, and grow best in humid environments. As with all Alocasias, they are prone to pests like spider mites, so do check the undersides of the leaves regularly for webbing, and wipe them down frequently with soapy water to aid prevention. It’s not hard to tell where Alocasia Dragon Scale (Baginda) got its name from. The beautiful, exotic emerald-green leaves with prominent venation remind us of the mythical Dragon scales, and not only is it gorgeous, it is also easy to care for. Under proper growing conditions, they can grow sizably. Its unique foliage is not only evident on the front, but also on the abaxial where we can see a brighter shade of green with faint maroon-ish venation, darkening as the leaves mature.
