Polygard Anti-Freeze BLUE Coolant is an economical, proprietary blend of corrosion inhibitors and additives in glycol that provides all year round freezing and corrosion protection to your engine cooling system. It protects all metals commonly used in engine construction from corrosion and cavitation, including aluminium. It is formulated to maintain efficient cooling thus preventing overheating and lubricates moving parts such as the water pump. Polygard Anti-Freeze BLUE Coolant meets all the performance requirements of BS 6580 (1992), ASTM D 3306 and ASTM D 4985 and is suitable for use in both petrol and diesel engines. It is amine, phosphate and nitrite free. BTC Classification – 2E. Directions Polygard Anti-Freeze BLUE Coolant is suitable for use in all climates and provides year round corrosion and freeze protection. When diluted with clean water it can provide freeze protection as low as – 70°C where extreme winters are usual. To ensure satisfactory freeze and corrosion protection it is recommended that the minimum concentration used is 25% by volume. In all climates, alongside protecting the engine from corrosion, Polygard Anti-Freeze BLUE Coolant offers excellent heat transfer properties, and minimises the risk of radiator overheating, by raising the boiling point above that of water alone. The following freeze protection data should allow the end user to decide the degree of dilution necessary for his or her situation. Use only clean water to dilute the anti-freeze and NEVER use at concentrations greater than 70% by volume.
