Herbal First Aid - Sat. August 15th

Come learn herbalism through the lens of First Aid! This day-long workshop will support you in feeling confident to care for yourself, your family, and your community with foundational and integrative first aid + herbal wisdom. The class covers: Herbal Actions Medicinal Applications Dosing Instructions In depth herb discussions Treatment plans and protocols for common first aid ailments Contraindications and discernment for scope of practice We will spend most of the day in the classroom, building confidence in this topic and will finish up in the lab where we will make an herbal salve and antiseptic wound spray that each student will bring home. All levels of experience welcome including beginners to herbal medicine. Cost: $100 plus a $20 materials fee due to the instructor at the beginning of class. When: Saturday, August 15th from 10-4 with a break for lunch. Karly Loomis is a graduate Gathering Thyme Herb School and the California School of Herbal Studies. She accumulated more than 1,500 hours of intensive study, including clinical training and has spent the last 6 years sharing herbal wisdom through private internships, online & in-person workshops, digital articles and social media, and one-on-one consultations. Her favorite topics to teach about are seasonal herbalism, medicine-making techniques, herbalism in the kitchen, family herbalism/ community care, herbal energetics, & plant spirit wisdom.
