2025 Tyrrell’s NVC Shiraz Hunter Valley
2025 Tyrrell’s NVC Shiraz Hunter Valley – The Hunter Valley is home to some of the oldest vineyards in the world. Tyrrell’s Sacred Sites wines are made only from vines that are more than 100 years old and on their own roots. The origins of most of these vines lie in the Busby Collection – cuttings brought to Australia from Europe by James Busby and planted in the Hunter Valley in 1832. The NVC Vineyard was planted in 1921 and was traditionally the home of Vat 5, a stalwart in the Tyrrell’s membership red offerings for many years. More recently it has been released under their Single Vineyard collection of wines, but the 2023 vintage marked its first release under the revered Sacred Sites collection of wines. This great 100+ year old vineyard is an important and indeed sacred site on the Tyrrell Family Estate, and they are pleased to be releasing it under their iconic yellow label. A piece of Tyrrell’s wine history. Dense and intense colour. Distinctive NVC nose that is complex with dark red fruits, savoury spice and a hint of oak. A voluminous palate with both rich dark fruit characters coupled with a creamy textural generosity that runs across the palate. Single Price: $145.00 Any Six Bottle Buy: $115.00
