Omega dress vintage watch 35 mm, 1960s
Identity Omega 35 mm, 1960s. Manual-winding movement. Steel case, 35 mm, straight lugs, crown bearing the Omega monogram, screw-down caseback engraved Waterproof. Cream dial with large italic black Arabic numerals, Omega Genève signature, black baton hands and central sweep seconds. Plexiglas crystal. Brown leather strap and steel pin buckle. Horological context Omega was founded in 1848 by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The maison moved to Biel in 1879. In 1894 it released the 19-ligne calibre named Omega — so precise that it gave its name to the manufacture in 1903. By the 20th century, Omega ranked among the great Swiss manufactures: official Olympic timekeeper since 1932, supplier to NASA for the Apollo missions. The Genève line, introduced in the 1950s, was positioned as the catalogue's dress entry: clean silhouette, in-house manual or automatic movements, careful finishing without ostentation. The 1960s manual Genève watches, often fitted with the Calibre 601, embody this aesthetic — a steel case of classical proportions, a legible dial bearing the Omega and Genève signatures, and the sobriety that defines the brand's design language for the decade. Character Beautifully preserved cream dial with large italic black Arabic numerals. Original crown bearing the Omega monogram. Watch serviced. Excellent condition. Delivered with a Contre-Temps box and a Contre-Temps two-year warranty.
