Holmegaard XL deep green lamp with Le Klint shade, 1960s

This elegant Danish table lamp from the 1960s combines the refined glassmaking tradition of Holmegaard with the timeless lighting design of Le Klint. Founded in 1825, Holmegaard Glasværk is one of Denmark’s most renowned glass manufacturers, celebrated for its high-quality craftsmanship and distinctive Scandinavian aesthetics. The overall lamp size is 65 cm in height and 45 cm in diameter. The lamp features a striking deep bottle-green glass base shaped like a laboratory flask, giving it a sculptural and organic appearance. In contrast, the lamp is topped with a white acrylic shade produced by Le Klint, whose light form beautifully balances the rich color of the base. The brass bulb holder has developed a delicate natural patina consistent with age and retains its original switch and dark green cable, further emphasizing the authenticity of the piece.
