Design Notes The Moss Denim Jacket: The sketch for this jacket was created during a late night where I felt inspired to create a statement denim piece that challenged both form and function. The curved front zipper closure, oversized sleeve pocket, and cropped silhouette were all established to narrate a sense of simplistic avant-garde design. I wanted the jacket to feel almost unearthed, as if the garment had naturally aged through environment and wear rather than artificial processing. The wash treatment was developed to resemble oxidized surfaces, moss growth, and natural earth patterns, giving the denim a worn, organic appearance throughout the fabric. The balance between raw earth inspiration and industrial construction became the foundation of the piece — grounding the garment between nature and utility.
