Hojari Majestic

I've used Hojari Luban oil in a few earlier blends, and I have to say that no matter how exceptional the oil may be, certain aspects are simply lost in translation. It pales in front of the resin. There's an earthy, powdery character with a subtle velvety texture that only reveals itself in the top notes rising directly off the resin surface. I previously offered a small batch of SQ amber-coloured Luban, but this is something else entirely. Colloquially known as "Royal Hojari" due to its reputation as the highest grade, I wanted to avoid the term Royal to prevent confusion. Hence the name: Hojari Majestic. It makes an excellent companion for heating incense or oud, though it is equally rewarding when warmed on its own, allowing its full aromatic character to unfold.
