In commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention, every box of coffee contributes $5 and every 5lb bag contributes $20 to USA for UNHCR to support refugees and asylum seekers around the world with safety, dignity, and hope. With the founding of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the 1951 Refugee Convention in Geneva, Switzerland first defined who a refugee is and laid out the rights and protections people should be afforded when fleeing war, conflict, and violence. 1951 Coffee Company was founded in that same spirit: coming together to provide safety, welcome, and employment for those seeking to call the United States home.
