Chik blinds have been around for generations. The centuries-old craft of Chik blind making originated in the grand palaces and majestic forts of Northern India, originally designed to combat the scorching midday heat. These exquisite blinds are hand crafted in India from natural bamboo and adorned with intricate lattice designs, available in six distinctive styles, backed with beautiful cream natural Indian cambric. Shown here is thread style 'Choorag'. At home in both traditional and contemporary interiors, Chik blinds subtly enhance any space with understated charm. When lowered, they filter light into a gentle, diffused glow that bathes a room in warmth and calm. The meticulous hand stitching speaks to the artisanal expertise woven into every piece. Each blind is lined in cotton cambric, adding an extra layer of privacy and insulation. Chik blinds are raised and lowered using a traditional central rope, finished with a hand-carved wooden pulley and a matching wooden acorn; a beautiful detail that reflects the craft's heritage. Our colour option of chik blinds allows you to have the cotton tape, thread, ropes and wooden accessories dyed to a Farrow and Ball hue of your choosing.
