Arugula - Wasabi

Diplotaxis erucoides This is a true single species and closely related to Wild Arugula instead of Roquette Arugula. Compared to other arugulas, this is one of the most piquant and spicy but also has tender succulent texture. Just like the name, it kicks you hard in the first bite and is then gone in few seconds. It tastes exactly like real wasabi and will give you that back-of-the-nose jolt! Also, the cute fragile flower is edible and tasty! This could be a horseradish substitute and better companion for Tuna Tataki, Beef Carpaccio and tartar. It is high in Vitamin A, and contains Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron!
