Alta Adventure PB backpacks have been developed in consultation with landscape photographers to deliver a solution for photographers who need to cross rugged terrain in comfort, including the option of multi-day hikes using the Clipfast Straps System to attach bulkier kit. The Alta Adventure PB50L Backpack is the middle size of the series with a 50 litre capacity. Carrying Capacity: This model includes a removable Alta Adventure PB50 BIB which is a removable 22 litre bag-in-bag for your camera kit (or other kit) with internal dimensions of 28 x 17-18 x 42.5cm. This allows you to fit a Pro DSLR with up to 200-600mm f5.6-6.3 attached, or a smaller lens and up to 7 additional lenses to 400mm f2.8 as well as additional accessories, though mix will clearly vary based on size of lenses. Full access to your camera kit is through the rear of your bag, but you can also get quick side access to your camera, or set up the BIB for top access. Extra Alta Adventure PB50 BIBs (or the smaller Adventure PB40 BIB, Adventure PB30 BIB and Adventure H BIB M), are available to allow quick changing of alternate kits. Above the removable BIB is a zip up pocket for a power bank, with a hole for a cable that can be to be fed directly out of the bag to offer power on the go, whether that's for your camera on your shoot, or your smartphone as it guides you to your destination. This zip up pocket also has tabs that allow you easy access to the top compartment for additional camera or personal kit. In the rear flap are two compartments for up to a 17" laptop (compartment size: 30 x 3 x 43cm) and a 13" tablet, with three zip up pockets for accessories like cables and filters. This backpack also comes with a removable tripod holder that can carry a full size tripod in the centre of the backpack for optimum comfort. Attach the tripod foot holder to the base of the bag, then use the two Clipfast Straps provided to secure your tripod to the backpack. Alternatively there is an expanding side pocket and straps that allow you to attach a smaller tripod or monopod to the side of the bag, or use it for a water bottle. In addition to this, there is a pocket in the top flap for items that need easy access like spare batteries and snacks, a pocket for up to a 3 litre water reservoir or papers, a stowable pocket in the shoulder strap for a smartphone, and an expanding pocket on the waist belt. Designed for the outdoors: The Alta Adventure Series is constructed from premium 420D nylon with TPU protective laminate that helps repel water, resist knocks and scrapes and stay easy to clean. The zips are weatherproof with T-style zip pulls that make them easy to grip, even in cold, wet weather wearing gloves. This combination maximises the weatherproof nature of the bag, with a rain cover for the wettest days. The Alta Adventure PB Series features multiple pockets to keep snacks close to hand and keep energy levels up. To stay hydrated over shorter trips there is an expanding side pocket for a water bottle, and for longer trips there is a pocket that is designed for up to a 3 litre water reservoir. This allows the water reservoir to be slotted into an elasticated pocket and a clipped retaining cord holds it upright to ensure the outlet is always at the bottom of the bag. In case of leaks there is a waterproof barrier between the water reservoir and your camera kit, and a discreet hole in the base of the pocket for any water to escape. Ideal for longer multi-day hikes, the Alta Adventure PB40L, (or the larger Alta Adventure PB50L), can attach additional gear to the outside of the bag using the two Clipfast Straps provided, and additional straps are available separately. These can be clipped into the attachment points on the rear, base and side of the bag to attach larger items like a tent, sleeping mat or sleeping bag. Even if not planning an overnight, the ability to strap on a folding seat may make a longer photoshoot more comfortable. Further capacity may be added by attaching an Alta Adventure W waist pack. With the need to cover tougher terrain over longer distances, the Alta Adventure PB harness system is designed to maximise comfort and minimise fatigue with a pro harness and airflow system. The padded shoulder straps distribute the weight of your gear, while the chest strap can be adjusted vertically through 24cm to achieve a comfortable fit. A padded, removable waist belt then transfers more of the load from your shoulders to your hips for greater comfort over longer distances. Once all the straps are set to your comfort, the load lifter straps at the top of the shoulder straps can be tightened to minimise movement even further. At the rear of the backpack is an advanced airflow system with an aluminium frame and mesh that leaves a clear gap between your back and the backpack to maximise airflow. This is helped by a pad at the base of the bag, and a pad at the top of the bag that has three height settings to tailor the bag to you and help create space between your back and the mesh.
