Luxury manufacturers, however, apply exceptionally strict quality standards, meaning that a piece may be downgraded due to a minimal weight discrepancy, a microscopic bubble in the glaze, or a structural variation that is invisible to the naked eye. Bio: Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 as the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory and is one of Denmarks most established porcelain manufacturers. The company became renowned for its hand-painted porcelain and distinctive blue decorations. The Blue Flower pattern was introduced in the late 18th century and developed into one of the factorys classic collections. Blue Flower Curved is characterised by its traditional floral decoration and softly curved porcelain forms. Royal Copenhagen porcelain is internationally recognised for its craftsmanship and significance in Danish design history.
