c.1950 Jacobus Hornsteiner 4/4 Cello with hard case

An exquisite example of the first wave of Jacobus Hornsteiner cellos exported to the united States in the early 1950's, these fine instruments have a highly competitive sound that exceeds their price range. These were made by the Scherl and Roth firm after their post war re-establishment in Bubenreuth, Germany. This instrument is in outstanding condition with no evidence of any major cracks or repairs. Beautifully flamed maple back. This is a perfect "step up" instrument for an aspiring student. Currently set up with D'Addario Helicore strings. The big bonus is that it comes with a hard case.
