Perugia - Nectarine/Artisan Paper//Door Hinge

The Perugia Journal is ideal for the prolific writer or artist who wants more space to enjoy the creative experience. Plus, 4x6 photos will fit nicely in either a horizontal or vertical arrangement. The square size makes a perfect guest book as well. This 7.5”x7.5” journal contains 100 pages of the acid-free Artisan cotton paper. It’s my most versatile, and is ideal for light watercolor, and for writing or sketching with any type of pen, pencil, or charcoal. (Note: this and the bamboo are the best papers for use with micro-tips or fountain pens.) This book features an elegant Victorian era door hinge closure. To open, simply pull the pin out of the top of the hinge, and the top and bottom leather flaps can then pull away from one another. It is an authentic, repurposed antique hinge, dating back to the 1880’s-1890’s. It is attached with hand-hammered copper rivets.
