AJR Sweet Iron Port D Bit

The Sweet Iron Port D Bit is designed for horses that show sensitivity to tongue pressure or benefit from additional stability and guidance. This bit features a solid medium port mouthpiece that creates space for the tongue. By lifting the center of the mouthpiece away from the tongue, pressure on the tongue is reduced. This design can help promote improved bit acceptance for horses with sensitive mouths or tongues. The mouthpiece is handmade in sweet iron. The warming effect and mild sweet taste produced in the horse’s mouth encourage increased mouthing and salivation, which can support a softer and more relaxed feel in the contact. The D-ring cheekpiece helps stabilize the bit in the horse’s mouth while offering lateral guidance. The fixed shape of the ring helps prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth and supports clearer directional aids from the rider. The Sweet Iron Port D Bit combines tongue relief, sweet iron responsiveness, and a stable cheekpiece designed to support clearer communication. Material: Sweet Iron Mouth Thickness: 14mm
