The outer material is made of recycled nylon twill with a moderate luster and suppleness. It incorporates military details unique to the N-3B throughout, such as a voluminous fur-lined hood, utility pockets on the sleeves, and flap pockets. The front features a combination of a zipper and buttons, ensuring warmth and creating a three-dimensional look even when worn open.
