Crafted from highly coveted, deeply figured huanghuali rosewood, this collector’s piece possesses the mesmerizing “ghost faces” (gui lian) and shimmering, silk-like grain patterning that defines the world’s most sought-after timber. Design & Artistry The Silhouette: Breaking away from traditional box-form daybeds, this lounge features a beautifully contoured, slatted reclining backrest balanced by a deeply rolled, slatted cylindrical headrest. The sweeping, fluid profile closely echoes the regal lines of ancient Egyptian ceremonial daybeds, offering an avant-garde, global aesthetic. The Apron: The front apron is a tour de force of deep, masterfully executed openwork carving.
