Scindapsus Pictus Argyraeus | Satin Pothos
Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’ is a beautiful foliage plant with heart-shaped, deep-green leaves decorated with delicate silver markings. She originates from tropical Southeast Asia, where she grows as a climbing vine in forest environments. Indoors, her stems can trail elegantly from a shelf or hanging pot, or climb a moss pole for a more upright display. ☀️ Light Bright, indirect light helps maintain her attractive silver markings. She tolerates moderate light, but growth may slow in darker spots. Avoid strong direct sunshine. 💧 Watering Water when the top couple of centimetres of compost feel dry. Allow excess water to drain away and avoid keeping the compost constantly wet. Reduce watering during winter. 🌡️ Temperature & Humidity She prefers temperatures around 18-27°C and appreciates moderate to high humidity. Average household humidity is usually manageable, but keep her away from cold draughts. 🪴 Potting Use a loose, well-draining houseplant compost, ideally with added perlite and orchid bark. Choose a pot with drainage holes. ✂️ Pruning Trim back long stems to encourage fuller growth. Healthy cuttings containing a node can be rooted to grow new plants. 🌿 Growing Tips Give her a support if you’d like her to climb, or let her stems cascade naturally. Wipe the leaves occasionally and feed lightly during spring and summer. 🐾 Not Pet Friendly Scindapsus pictus contains insoluble calcium oxalates and is toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or eaten. Size: 15cm nursery pot, removable hanger.
