Yukutayagama Fish Shaped Rests
Yukutayagama is a family-run, traditional Okinawan pottery kiln (yachimun) located in Yomitan Village, Okinawa, Japan. Pieces are hand-thrown on a potter's wheel or hand formed using local Okinawan clay, sometimes foot-softened, and then fired in a self-built traditional noborigama (multi-chambered wood-fired climbing kiln) that is typically lit once or twice a year. These fish shaped cutlery rests (great for chopsticks) are hand-formed and feature traditional Okinawan yachimun techniques- earthy glazes and distinct brushwork. Sold as a set of 2. Size: Made in Japan.
