Anthurium Red Spider x forgetii 9cm H25 - 35cm

Meet Anthurium Red Spider x forgetii—a collector Anthurium hybrid with round-leaf potential and red-toned new growth. This cross combines hybrid vigour with the influence of forgetii’s distinctive rounded leaf shape. Stylish, unusual and full of character, she is a brilliant choice for adding something special to the plant shelf. The Formal Name: Anthurium Red Spider x forgetii The Nickname: Red Spider x Forgetii Anthurium Roots: A cultivated Anthurium hybrid involving A. forgetii, a Colombian species known for its closed sinus leaf form. Natural Vibe: Warm humid aroid conditions with airy roots and gentle bright light. Care Guide: Sunlight: Bright indirect light is ideal; avoid harsh sun on velvet or delicate foliage. Best Room: A warm plant cabinet, bright shelf or humid aroid corner is ideal. Snacks: Feed weakly through the growing season. Tropical Feels: High humidity and airflow help the leaves size up and stay clean. Cosy Factor: Keep warm, ideally 18–27°C. Thirst: Keep lightly moist but airy, letting the top layer just begin to dry. Safety First: Not pet-safe – keep away from cats, dogs and children who may chew the leaves or stems. The Bedding: Use a chunky anthurium/aroid mix with bark, perlite, coir and moss. Family Tree: Propagation is usually by division or stem cutting once mature. Space Needs: Give leaf blades space; they mark easily when crowded. Speed: Slow to moderate, especially for seedling hybrids. Uninvited Guests: Watch for thrips and spider mites on new leaves. Moving Day: Repot gently when roots fill the pot or the mix breaks down. Haircut: Remove only damaged leaves; new foliage can be delicate. Fresh Air: A collector foliage plant for customers who enjoy careful, humid growing. Plant Lore: Many collector Anthuriums are grown from seed or specialist crosses, so leaf shape can develop character as the plant matures.
