Salt Marsh Heron

While I only saw one heron while in Maine, seeing them looking for food along the edge of salt marshes is very nostalgic - reminding me of summers in coastal Massachusetts. Maine Scenes are inspired by my 2026 Artist Residency at the Audubon Seabird Institute's Hog Island Camp. During this residency, I made miniature sculptures inspired by the animals and ecosystems around me in coastal Maine. This piece is hand sculpted and painted - made with intention and love. Porcelain with underglaze, wire, glossy glaze.
