Germander speedwell

Germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys) forms neat, ground‑hugging clumps of mid‑green foliage, topped in spring with bright blue, white‑eyed flowers that catch the light beautifully. Short stems hold each bloom just above the leaves, creating a scatter of vivid colour. In the garden it’s fantastic in a part‑shady border, naturalistic grassland, or even a container where it can soften the edges. This is a good source of nectar : 1 litre pot
