The Scheepjes Perfect Picnic CAL has been developed in collaboration with crochet designer Eleonora Tully of Coastal Crochet. One of Eleonora's beloved blanket designs makes its Scheepjes debut in six brand-new colour palettes. Inspired by idyllic picnic locations, each colour palette brings the atmosphere and beauty of a special destination to life. With front and back relief stitches, playful bobbles, simple Tunisian crochet, and a join-as-you-go design, the blanket offers a fine balance between familiar and new techniques, with plenty of opportunities to build confidence as you discover colour, texture, and various crochet techniques. The CAL runs from October 21st to December 9th, 2026. Thanks to Eleonora's extensive video tutorials and the expert support of Scheepjes moderators in the official Facebook groups, participants can focus entirely on the joy of crafting, knowing that help is always within reach. Participants can choose from six carefully curated colour palettes, distributed across two popular Scheepjes yarns: Colour Crafter and Cotton Create DK. The finished blanket, crocheted with Scheepjes Cotton Create DK, will measure approximately 115 x 92cm after blocking. You can crochet this version with a 3.00 and 3.50mm crochet hook, or the hook size required to achieve the correct gauge. Crochet hooks are not included in the kit. The Cotton Create DK CAL kit contains 26 balls of 50 grams of Scheepjes Cotton Create DK and a unique Scheepjes Perfect Picnic tote bag measuring 42 x 32cm.
