Sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale)

Sneezeweed (Helenium autumnale) blooms in late summer to fall, with unique yellow daisy-like flowers that make a wonderful addition to any landscape or garden. They thrive in full sun with moist conditions, making them perfect for wetland meadow plantings. Sneezeweed is named for the historic use of its leaves to make a type of snuff that was thought to rid the body of evil spirits–it is insect pollinated and unlikely to make you sneeze.
