Perihelion

Perihelion is the point in an orbit where a comet comes closest to the Sun. After a long, cold trip through the outer solar system, it swings in, heats up, and its tail streams out behind it before it heads back into the dark. This design traces that pass in fine gold linework: a comet arcing around its star inside a single orbit. It’s a minimal piece about return, and about how even the most distant things eventually come back around.
