Every slicer is hand-finished in Norfolk before dispatch, with an edge polished using 1 micron abrasive. A double-sided acacia board with juice grooves to collect carving juices and integrated side handles for lifting and serving. The 1 micron specification describes the abrasive used during finishing, not the thickness of the cutting edge. Care and warranty Hand wash the knife and dry it immediately. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Use the slicer for slicing meat, not cutting through bones or frozen food. Wash the board by hand, dry thoroughly and allow it to air-dry before storing. Do not soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Maintain the wood with a food-safe chopping board oil as needed. The Norvic lifetime warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in the knife for domestic use, subject to the published terms.
