Kintsugi Workshop

Sunday, October 11 | 3-6 PM MMclay - 69 Gough St, San Francisco Join ceramicist Gabrielle White for an exploration of kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. More than a craft, kintsugi is a meditation on resilience, transformation, and the beauty found in what has been broken and lovingly restored. In this three-hour experience, we begin with a tea ceremony before intentionally breaking and repairing a teacup—yours to keep—using modern kintsugi materials. If time allows, you can purchase an MMclay piece (various cracked forms available) to repair during the workshop. Snacks and libations will be served throughout.
