The Last Drop 55 Year Old Tomintoul 1969 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Last Drop Distillers is an independent curator of ultra-rare spirits, founded in 2008 by industry icons Tom Jago and James Espey to unearth forgotten, world-class casks from the back of the world’s most storied warehouses. Release No. 38 is an exceptionally aged single malt Scotch whisky from Tomintoul Distillery and the sister release to The Last Drop's earlier Release No. 36. The whisky was drawn from three casks of Tomintoul single malt distilled in April 1969 and matured for more than five decades in ex-sherry butts and refill sherry hogsheads. In 2022, the three casks were married and transferred to an ex-Matusalem sherry butt for an additional two years of maturation before bottling. Age 55 Years Proof 86.2 / 43.1% ABV Yield 430 Bottles
