Most hardshell tents weigh more than the person putting them on the roof. Two people and a plan, every time it goes on or comes off. So it goes up in spring, comes down in October, and every trip in between happens with it up there whether you wanted it or not. The Carbonlite weighs 80 pounds. That is the whole argument. Carbon fibre shell, aluminium frame, 5.25 inches tall closed with the crossbar counted. Light enough that taking it off is a decision, not a project. Put it on the quick-release mounts and it comes down solo, in minutes, and the car goes back to being a car. Inside: 85 by 49 inches of floor, 48 inches of headroom, a hybrid foam air mattress and two organiser panels. Waterproof 2000D Oxford, rated four season, 500 lb capacity. Billet aluminium latches. The telescopic ladder and the cover come with it. Bring your own pump. Your mounts are free. Take the Slipstream quick-release four-pack, or two Gatekeeper locks. Both are Option C hardware, cut for the Carbonlite's rails. Freight is $375 to the lower 48, which is Inspired Overland's own rate with nothing added to it.
